Support Reason

I support Reform UK because I believe the country urgently needs a genuine alternative to the established parties, who have failed working people for too long. As someone who was brought up in care, left school without formal qualifications, and has had to build a life for myself through hard work, service, and resilience, I know first-hand how ordinary people often feel ignored and let down by the political class. Reform UK stands for common-sense policies that put Britain and its people first.

Council Interest Reason

I was born in Blackburn and am proud of my working-class roots. Although I spent 12 years serving in the British Army, including operational tours abroad, Blackburn has always been my home and the place I have returned to. I am not a career politician and have never been involved in politics, but I have always kept a close eye on current affairs and taken a keen interest in how decisions made at both national and local level affect ordinary people like myself. I now live just outside the Ewood Ward and have strong personal ties to the area. Ewood is home to Blackburn Rovers Football Club, a team I have supported all my life, which has given me a deep sense of pride and belonging to the community. I regularly spend time in the ward, know many local residents personally, and listen to their views on local issues. In my work as a bus driver, my routes sometimes take me through Ewood and the wider Blackburn area, giving me further insight into the local community and the day-to-day challenges people face. I know the area well, both through personal connections and professional experience, and I am committed to working hard on behalf of the people who call Ewood home.
